斯里蘭卡薑啤

這款青檸薑汁是港大佛學教授 Karunadasa 太太 Malathi Karunadasa 親手泡製,它是斯里蘭卡的特色飲品,斯里蘭卡人稱之為「薑啤」,既能夠解渴,且能刺激食欲。據 Karunadasa 太太說,為避免飲用時有渣滓,刨薑不應刨得太細緻。

 

青檸薑汁

材料︰

去皮刨成條狀的生薑 半杯

青檸 3 隻

清水 1 公升

白糖 約半杯 (以上的分量可以據個人的口味調較)

做法︰

  1. 將青檸切開榨成汁。
  2. 煲熱清水。 白糖倒入熱水中,並拌勻直至 溶解。
  3. 放入薑條和青檸汁,煲滾,熄火,放置過夜 ( 這樣薑汁較出味 )。
  4. 用濾網過濾薑渣,將青檸薑汁倒入玻璃瓶, 再放入雪櫃。可放置兩、三天。

 

Ginger lemon drink

Ingredients:

Half a cup of grated fresh ginger

3 green limes

One liter of water

Half a cup of white sugar (adjustable)

Steps:

  1. Cut the limes into half and squeeze to get the juice.
  2. Boil the water and put in the sugar. Stir until well dissolved.
  3. Then add the ginger and the lime juice. Boil only once and turn off the heat. Keep overnight covered with the lid until well infused.
  4. Strain it and bottle it and keep in fridge. This can be kept for 2-3 days.

Tips: Grating with the grater is also important because if you grate it too small, the liquid will be cloudy.
